Solar Stormwatch / Re: **THIS PHASE OF SOLAR STORMWATCH IS COMPLETE**
« on: December 28, 2015, 12:41:25 am »
Weird, a few days after you posted this, stereo-a began working again.  :o  But it has to be said that it would be nice that contributers get a message when a project ends and what the results are (read: in normal human language plz). Now you have to get to a forum to find out that one ended (it doesn't says it on the site) and read a paper from somewhere else with a lot of data which normal ppl don't understand. Same with the end of moonzoo.

TIB was designed to allow the team to learn more about CMEs and was never meant to be real time.

This is the understatement of the year. More than 2 years without any new ones ???
Plz update, these so we can classify them.

"Close down the site completely"????

I should have written 'close down some of  the sub-projects'.  If some projects don't deliver new data, what's the use of keeping them alive ? Just checked today, again (started this post a year ago)..... Did some 20 vids in spot to (re)check, all have dates between 02/2010 and 11/2010. No 2011, no 2012. Do I need to say more ?

What an outrageous idea!

Yeah, sometimes you need an outrageous idea to wake ppl up.

Few things:

- Most images from Spot are still from early 2010, at least that's what i'm seeing.
- Latest discovery on the main page still says: 06 Februari 2010
- In TIB and click on 'most recent', latest storm is 191, which should be from 05 feb 2010. A day before my second complaint.

My question here is, do you guys & girls still wanna have your 'important' data or not ?! Then upgrade the data. Else close down the site completely....

When doing TIB, the time always starts at 22:20. Shouldn't that be 0:00 ???

Spot and what's that are now up to the end of December 2010

That's odd. The ones that you can qualify (spot) are still somewhere between may and july 2010.

So, when does the site gets an update ? In latest discovery, the last storm discovered was more than a year ago and the storms in spot aren't up-to-date either. Latest are from 07/2010.  ::)

I guess we'll get an announcement or something when Track It Back is finished. Until then we have to wait a bit more (maybe a nice christmas gift? ;))

Bit late for christmas, but Track It Back finally is ready.....  ;D

Track it back still doesn't work correctly. At first it complains javascript isn't available (it's on!). Second, that the video isn't available. Oh, and some of the text falls out of the arrow, which says 'track it back'.
Tested with FF 3.6.13 and opera 11.

the results of Spot are a bit weird.
All the storms travel at 0 km/s and the dates are very peculiar.  ;)
Same here. Maybe they travel thru time  ;D
